Amul French Fries

French fries, also known simply as fries, are deep-fried potato strips that have become one of the most popular and widely consumed fast foods in the world. Typically cut into thin batons or wedges, the potatoes are fried until golden and crispy on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside.

Though their exact origin is debated, both Belgium and France claim to have invented the dish. The term "French fries" became popular in the United States, particularly after American soldiers encountered the dish during World War I in French-speaking parts of Belgium.
